Sayso Weddings: Bride Wars!

By Kellyansapansa on from www.sayso.com.au

Over the past few years, Trash The Dress photoshoots have become increasingly popular with Australian brides.

Also known as Rock The Frock, the trend started in 2001 with Las Vegas wedding photographer John Michael Cooper and his famous images of a bride with her wedding dress on fire. Since then the style has spread around the world.

Photos of brides wearing their wedding dresses in the ocean are popular, but locations can also include city streets, rooftops, rubbish dumps, paddocks and abandoned buildings.

Generally done as an additional shoot after the wedding, it is a symbolic declaration that the marriage is forever and the dress will not be used again, although the dress is not always ruined.

SaySo Weddings took the concept to a whole new level with a Giant Trash The Dress Photo Shoot held in Adelaide, Australia in February 2011.
